Why this exists
Extension Converter turns a file into a format another tool can open: a PNG into a JPG, a CSV into JSON, or a note into a PDF. The encoding happens in your browser. If a format cannot be written, the file is skipped instead of renamed.
What we optimize for
The catalog lists images, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, audio, video, archives, code, data, fonts, e-books, subtitles, CAD, databases, certificates, game ROMs, scientific formats, and more than 1000 unique extensions. Listing an extension is not the same as converting it. After you drop a file, only encodings the browser can produce are offered.
Privacy second. Files are processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers for conversion.

Honest limits
Not every pair of formats can be transcoded in a browser tab. When a real encoding is not available, the file is skipped. Extension Converter does not rename an extension while keeping the original bytes.
